Heron Books is a research and development team that publishes cutting-edge K-12 educational materials for the Delphian School in Oregon. Its purpose is to create a high-quality curriculum for the Delphi Program®.
Over time, the curriculum's popularity grew. Today, selections of the Delphi Program curriculum are available for use as supplementary resources for schools, homeschoolers, teachers, tutors, parents, guardians, children, teens, and businesses around the world.
Covered in the book are the main divisions of geography–physical, human (which includes political and economic), and environmental. Students learn about statistics and trends in analyzing data and making predictions. With the accompanying Learning Guide, they research topics and answer questions based on their research, and using a program call Gapminder, are able to create their own visual representations. A glossary of terms is included.
What is a legacy book?
These are books originally designed for and used in proficiency- or mastery-based school classrooms. They are tested and proven courses of study, often easily adaptable to a homeschool setting. They are less expensive, and include a free download of the learning guide, materials list and final exam with answers. In addition to our more premium titles, we are proud to offer over a hundred legacy books covering a wide range of academic and practical subjects.
