Circulation of the Blood is an exploration of the human circulatory system (blood, blood vessels and heart) and how it interacts with other organs and systems of the body.The student gets to study blood cells under the microscope, learn how blood circulates throughout the body and practice taking a pulse. He uses a heart model and finds out how the heart works. He learns how oxygen from the lungs gets into the blood and how carbon dioxide is released from the blood to the lungs.Many hands-on activities are included such as using overlays to learn how the circulatory system, digestive system and excretory system are interrelated, and drawing a life-size map of the human body and tracing the journey of a blood cell through the whole circulatory system.
