Product Details

This course teaches nutritional basics so that the student can choose healthful food items and plan a balanced diet.Nutrition is not only a subject of science but also of passion, which has led to a great deal of confusion about the facts of the subject. In simple language this course presents a balanced account of food groups, nutrient groups, refined foods and high carbohydrate vs. high protein diets in menu planning. During the course the student plans a diet for a week and re-evaluates it several times during the course as he continues to learn more about nutrition. As part of the course he evaluates food items at a supermarket and health food store, and actually follows his menu plan for a week after completing the course.
