Product Description

This course is designed for the music student who needs note-reading skills in order to become proficient at his chosen instrument.

The student is introduced to the piano, and uses that instrument to improve his ability to read music. By the end of the course the student can play "Mary Had a Little Lamb" on the piano. Also provided are entertaining musical games the student can play to sharpen his ability to recognize musical notes and symbols.

Upon completion of this music course the student has enough music fundamentals and early piano skills to go on to commercial beginning piano books if he wishes.

Materials You Need to Supply: Access to a piano or an electronic keyboard, 40 index cards, clay, tracing paper, staff paper with staff lines wide enough for younger students to draw in notes easily, metronome, large sheet of paper at least 3 ft by 3 ft, rubber cement, at least three pieces of thin cardboard about 2 ft by 2 ft.
