Product Description

This course begins with a review of concepts from the earlier two courses, followed by a study of maps of states, counties and cities.

The major part of the course is a study of the five regions of the United States (Northeast, Southeast, Midwest, Southwest and West), with examples of states from each region.

Phone 1-800-446-3355 An atlas or encyclopedia with pictures of the regions of the United States. Recommended: National Geographic United States Atlas for Young Explorers (2004) or other edition. This atlas has pages of illustrations of each U.S. region. Materials: globe (the larger the better), directional compass, ruler marked in inches, state road map, puzzle map of the United States. Optional Heron text: Basic Geography Glossary available as an additional reference tool.
