The first in a series of very simple and highly entertaining courses designed to give young students mastery over some basic words in French. Each course includes a cassette tape that demonstrates the French pronunciation for every word covered.

This course introduces the country of France and the three ways the French say and spell the word "the." It then gives the French names and pronunciations of some common fruits and vegetables. After the student learns the names himself, he gets to teach others how to say the name of a fruit or vegetable in French.

Cut-out sheets of fruits and vegetables are provided for the student to color and for playing games.

Materials You Need to Supply: Text/reference: Encyclopedia ("F" volume). Materials: Cassette player, unlined paper (to fit in French notebook), one notebook, scissors, magazines on home and cooking to cut pictures from, glue or paste.
